By participating, you agree that:

These Official Rules & Regulations govern the conduct of The Grill Master Raffle (the “Raffle”) and, together with the decisions of THE MAP FOUNDATION, INC (hereinafter “MAP Foundation”), are binding on everyone who purchases a Raffle ticket and/or who is named on a Raffle ticket. The Raffle of a Kamado Joe 18 inch Charcoal Grill, a Blackstone 36 inch 4-burner Griddle, and a Grill Accessory Package to include: Grill Covers, Charcoal, Propane, 8-Piece Grill Tool Set, Digital Meat Thermometer, Steam Cleaning Grill Brush, Prep Trays, Apron, Oven Mitts and Assorted Spice Rubs & Sauces is a fundraising activity conducted by MAP Foundation in support of WOODHILL COMMUNITY CENTER & OTHER YOUTH FOCUSED CHARITIES. These Official Rules & Regulations may not be waived, modified or supplemented unless such waiver, modification or supplementation is made in writing by MAP Foundation.

 

GRAND PRIZE DRAWING

The Grand Prize drawing to select a winner of The Grill Master Raffle package will be held on Facebook Live on Monday, September 26th, 2022 at 4PM Eastern, except this date and all other dates stated in these Rules may be extended at the absolute discretion of MAP Foundation. In the event the Raffle is postponed, all reasonable efforts will be made to notify ticket holders of the new drawing date. Online ticket orders must be received before 12:00PM EDT on Monday, September 26th, 2022.  Tickets may sell out before that time.  The drawing will be conducted under the supervision of MAP Foundation. The winning ticket will be drawn at random from a drum containing all eligible Raffle tickets. The drawing will be held on Facebook Live and viewable by the public.

 

PRIZE AWARDS IN EVENT OF NON-SELLOUT OF TICKETS

The price per ticket is $25.00 and may be purchased exclusively online from The MAP Foundation at the following website: www.mapfoundationraffle.com. A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be sold. Ticket sales will cease when the maximum number of qualified entries is reached. Any requests and payments received following the cut off time or after the sale of 1,000 tickets will be returned to the sender. If fewer than 1,000 Raffle tickets are sold, MAP Foundation reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to postpone the date of the drawing until a date that is within seven (7) days from the date on which the maximum 1,000 tickets have been sold. If fewer than 1,000 Raffle tickets are sold, online sales will cease at 12:00PM EDT on Monday, September 26th, 2022. The ratio of prizes to tickets is a maximum of 1 to 1,000 if all tickets are sold. Employees, Directors, and Officers of The MAP Foundation, Inc., are not eligible to participate.  MAP Foundation reserves the right to cancel this Raffle contest at any time, in which event liability is limited to the refund of the ticket price to all participants.

 

GRAND PRIZE

The Raffle winner will receive:

  • Grill Accessory Kit to Include: Grill Covers, Charcoal, Propane, 8-Piece Grill Tool Set, Digital Meat Thermometer, Steam Cleaning Grill Brush, Prep Trays, Apron, Oven Mitts and Assorted Spice Rubs & Sauces

MAP Foundation does not undertake to give advice on the legal or tax consequences of the Raffle or its winner.  However, it understands that the IRS position is that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts and, consequently, do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. MAP Foundation assumes no responsibility for The Grand Prize winner's tax obligations and suggests you consult your tax advisor.  This offer is void where prohibited by law; and all federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

The Grand Prize winner is strongly advised to seek professional legal or tax advice. Award of the Grand Prize could have material adverse consequences on the Grand Prize winner, including, without limitation, with respect to taxes, income, government entitlements or other benefits, or other legal, financial or other matters. The Grand Prize package is to be picked up at Lexus of Lexington at 1264 E. New Circle Rd in Lexington, Kentucky. Depictions of the complete Grand Prize package shown in informational materials on the Internet can be found online at www.mapfoundationraffle.com as well as in person on display at Lexus of Lexington.

By participating in this Raffle, all ticket purchasers and the person named on each Raffle ticket accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here, and (2) that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by MAP Foundation for publicity purposes and naming of the Grand Prize winner to be published in area newspapers or other media including television, radio, web and print. The Grand Prize winner may be published on the MAP Foundation website. The name of the winner may be obtained by sending a written request plus a self-addressed, stamped envelope to The MAP Foundation, Inc., 1999 Richmond Road, Suite 300, Lexington, KY 40502. MAP Foundation’s interpretation and application of the Rules and Regulations shall be final.

By participating in this Raffle, each participant releases MAP Foundation and Woodhill Community Center and each of their respective members, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, liability for injuries, losses, or damages arising from or caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize; and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold MAP Foundation and Woodhill Community Center and each of their respective members, directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner's acceptance or use of any prize.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Raffle is open to the general public, and ticket purchasers and the person named on a Raffle ticket must be at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase.  The Grand Prize winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility. Employees, Directors and Officers of The MAP Foundation, Inc., are not eligible to participate. Offer void where prohibited by law.

In order for the Grand Prize winner to receive the Grand Prize (subject to the other provisions in these Rules), the Grand Prize winner must elect to receive the Grand Prize by delivering written notice of that election to MAP Foundation, by October 26th, 2022. MAP Foundation shall notify the winner verbally in person or by phone or in writing by certified mail within seven (7) days of the drawing that the winner shall claim the prize within thirty (30) days.

If the Grand Prize winner does not wish to claim the prize but wishes to donate it to MAP Foundation for the benefit of Woodhill Community Center and other youth focused charities, the winner shall provide MAP Foundation with a written statement within the thirty (30) day period stating that the winner wishes to donate the prize to MAP Foundation for the benefit of Woodhill Community Center and other youth focused charities. A prize winner shall not donate the prize back to MAP Foundation if to do so would violate KRS 238.540(7).

If the Grand Prize winner does not claim the prize or donate it to MAP Foundation within thirty (30) days after having been contacted, MAP Foundation shall notify the Department of Charitable Gaming and draw another ticket in the presence of Department personnel. The tickets shall remain under the control of MAP Foundation until another Grand Prize winner is identified and accepts the prize.

The Grand Prize will be transferred to the Grand Prize winner by MAP Foundation in the same good condition as depicted on www.mapfoundationraffle.com and elsewhere. MAP Foundation and Woodhill Community Center do not provide any other guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in connection with the Grand Prize.

  

GRAND PRIZE VALUE

The value of The Grill Master Raffle package is less than $5,000. The Internal Revenue Service or the Kentucky Franchise Tax Board will accept that value of the Grand Prize or any other value for the purpose of determining any income tax that may be payable by the Grand Prize winner.

 

REFUNDS

All Raffle ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made, except any ticket request with verified payment received after 1,000 tickets have been sold or after the deadline set forth hereinabove will be returned. No other refunds are available. MAP Foundation assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines. A Raffle participant's sole and exclusive remedy for MAP Foundation’s breach shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her Raffle ticket(s).  In no event shall MAP Foundation or Woodhill Community Center or their respective directors, officers, employees, members, committee members, agents, contractors, advisors, or representatives be liable to any party for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any person or entity.

 

TICKETS

Tickets are $25.00 each. Raffle tickets may be purchased exclusively online from MAP Foundation at the following website:  www.mapfoundationraffle.com.  You may buy as many tickets as you wish, subject to availability, until a maximum of 1,000 tickets are sold.  Each Raffle ticket will be entered separately in the drawing. Each Raffle ticket is a separate and equal chance to win the Grand Prize.

Ticket orders must include valid credit card information to be eligible.  If the credit card transaction is denied for any reason, no ticket shall be sold; and the ticket purchase request is null and void. The purchaser will be notified immediately of the problem and the next ticket order in line will be processed.  When possible, ticket number(s) will be sent by email to the email address provided at the time of purchase; and printed ticket(s) containing the purchaser’s name, ticket number and contact information will be placed in a secured location at the offices of MAP Foundation in Lexington, Kentucky, until the drawing.

 

TICKET AND PAYMENT VERIFICATION

MAP Foundation reserves the right to reject any ticket order submitted with payment that does not constitute "good funds." Prior to the Grand Prize drawing, MAP Foundation will make a reasonable effort to notify any individual whose payment has been rejected that the entry has been rejected. All orders for tickets for the drawing must be received by the indicated deadline.

 

GRAND PRIZE WINNER

Winner notification will be made by telephone, email, or US mail and posted on the web page. The winner will need to provide proper identification to the satisfaction of MAP Foundation. A representative of MAP Foundation will assist in coordinating all the details with the winner regarding pick-up of the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize Winner agrees to the use of his/her name, photograph or videotape likeness and statements for publicity purposes by MAP Foundation and Woodhill Community Center and agrees to sign a publicity release without any further compensation.

 

REGISTRATION WITH THE STATE OF KENTUCKY

This Raffle is licensed by the Department of Charitable Gaming and is conducted by The MAP Foundation, Inc., License Number ORG 0002332, for the benefit of WOODHILL COMMUNITY CENTER & OTHER YOUTH FOCUSED CHARITIES.
